Senior Platform Engineer

Unique opportunity for a Senior Platform Engineer in South Africa to build and enhance developer tooling, deployment processes and pipelines in order to ensure our elite payment orchestration platform can scale fast while strengthening reliability and security. ResponsibilitiesWork closely with engineering to improve development and deployment processesSecure, monitor, and maintain multiple Kubernetes environmentsHelping evaluate, deploy, automate, and operate new technologies and infrastructureAssisting with the evaluation and rollout of new servicesWork with engineers within the team to ensure that releases are production gradePerformance Optimisation: Identify performance bottlenecks and work with the engineering team to optimise application and infrastructure performance.Incident Response and Resolution: Collaborate with the incident response team to ensure swift and effective resolution of incidents, contributing to post-mortem analysis and driving improvements to prevent future incidents.Capacity Planning: Monitor resource utilisation in Kubernetes clusters, perform capacity planning, and make recommendations for scaling infrastructure to meet growing demands.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics and/or similar work experience having worked on large-scale systemsExperience with operating a service-oriented architecture and/or container orchestration (Kubernetes or similar)8+ years experience in devops, SRE or related positionsDemonstrated project development and leadership skillsBonus points for:Experience in the FinTech and/or the financial services industryExperience with security automation and cloud securityBenefitsEquity in the businessGenerous leave/solid work-life balanceGreat remuneration packageRemote workingPlenty of perks Strong professional developmentAn open, international and inclusive cultureAdvanced equipment/technology--This position is open to people already eligible for work in South Africa--About usWe're a dedicated recruiter bringing together the brightest talent with organisations creating cutting-edge technology to change the world for the better.We partner with technology providers at the forefront of meaningful innovation.
