AVEVA is creating software trusted by over 90% of leading industrial companies.Job Title: Senior Presales ConsultantLocation: Tokyo, JapanEmployment Type: Full-time, PermanentThe job The Senior Presales Consultant at AVEVA plays a key role in supporting sales growth by delivering technical expertise, demonstrating solution value, and addressing customer needs. The role involves customer-facing activities such as presentations, solution demonstrations, and technical consultations. Candidates should have 2–5 years of experience in presales or a related engineering field, with at least 2 years of experience in process simulation, along with a solid understanding of AVEVA’s portfolio and industry challenges.Key Responsibilities Enable sales growth through the AVEVA by driving revenue by qualifying leads Communicating the value proposition of our solutions to prospects or partners, at presentations, industryevents, and seminars Contributing to the planning, creation, development, and delivery of demonstrations that prove the valueof our solutions Engaging prospects to understand their specific needs and problems, and contributing to thedevelopment of appropriate technical solutions Understand the AVEVA portfolio and how to position it Support proof of concepts and/or pilots Contribute to the definition of standardization Obtain and maintain the customer’s confidence and respect as the technical solution expertEssential Requirements University degree in bachelor or master Typically, 2-5 years of experience in Technical Sales, Presales or Business Development Working experience in a related engineering position that includes process simulations, process design,process operations, or an equivalent technical role Proven 2 years or more experience of AVEVA products (DYNSIM, PRO/II, APS) or similar technologies English communication experiences with oversea clients and/or colleagues Proven experience with technical presentation, demonstration and proposal. Excellent verbal and written communication skillsDesired Skills Prospects: Develop good working relationships with clients and always provide the highest level ofcustomer service and professionalism Sales: Work with the Sales team in identifying opportunities, providing support at all levels ofengagement, and ensuring throughout those proposed solutions are feasible and in line with AVEVA’sstrategic objectives Technical: Work within a dynamic team and show flexibility in the use and development of personal andtechnical skills to maximize the team’s efficiency Extensive experience providing IT infrastructure support to large user groups that require highperformance connectivity and availability Ability to coach and mentor junior employeesCommercial at AVEVAOur Commercial team, comprised of over 2,000 dedicated colleagues, is the backbone of our customer relationships and business growth.
