The Procurement Senior Engineer role is to support in overseeing the acquisition of technical materials, equipment, and services for engineering or construction mega projects in Elsewedy SC Zone Utilities The company is a partnership between SC zone (the Suez Canal Economic Zone Authority) and Elsewedy Electric. The company serves as the operational arm for the industrial developers in the areas of construction, consultation, supervision, electrical & water distribution, facility management, industrial sewage management, and maintenance.this role is to ensure alignment with technical specifications, budgets, and timelines. Key Responsibilities:Sourcing new suppliers and ensuring that the purchased products and materials meet the required technical specificationsNegotiating purchase terms and evaluating the suppliers’ performancesEnsuring timely deliveries and resolving any supply issues or discrepanciesPreparing proposals, requesting quotes, and negotiating purchase terms and conditionsEnsuring that contracts’ terms and conditions are in line with policies and are written in legal formInspecting and evaluating the quality of purchased items and correcting shortcomingsPreparing reports and maintaining accurate inventory and procurement recordsConducting market and product research and cost analysisCoordinating with the requisitions department to obtain required administrative information and documents necessary for processing the procurementReviewing and updating the list of contracts and keeping track of their renewal datesSearching for global suppliers for international purchasesRequired Qualifications & Skills:Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or supply chain management.2:5 years of experience in procurement engineering or a technical purchasing role, with relevant experience in mega projects.Proven track record of experience in electrical distribution & electrical procurement for mega projects. Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings & technical specifications. familiarity with ERP/Procurement software.Expert negotiation skills, strong analytical & problem-solving abilities, and in-depth knowledge of contract law & procurement practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage stakeholders and suppliers, attention to detail.
