As Booksy evolves to become a design-led organisation, you'll play a key role in shaping both the products we build and how we build them.You'll work as a solid individual contributor, taking ownership of complex product challenges from discovery through to delivery. You'll collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional partners to ship experiences that balance user needs with business strategy.This is a role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, moves with urgency, and is energised by the opportunity to establish design excellence whilst doing excellent design work.What You'll DoDiscovery and strategyLead discovery work to deeply understand user and business problemsSynthesise research, data, and insights into clear design opportunitiesDefine and articulate design vision that aligns with product and business strategyPartner with product and engineering to shape roadmaps and prioritisationDesign and deliveryOwn end-to-end design for significant features and experiencesCreate high-quality designs across the full spectrum - from early concepts to polished, production-ready workPrototype ideas to test hypotheses and validate solutions quicklyDesign and run experiments to inform decision-making and measure impactWork within and contribute to our design systemShip work iteratively, measuring impact and refining based on outcomesCollaborate effectively with engineers throughout implementationInfluence and leadershipAdvocate for users and design quality in cross-functional discussionsPresent and defend design decisions to stakeholders at all levelsContribute to the evolution of our design practice, tools, and ways of workingHelp establish design as a strategic partner across the organisationShare knowledge and raise the bar for design across the teamWhat We're Looking ForExperience and craft5+ years of product design experience, with a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end workExceptional craft skills across interaction, visual, and systems thinkingDeep understanding of user-centred design principles and how to apply them in complex product contextsExperience working within design systems and contributing to their evolutionComfortable leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance design process and outputTrack record of shipping successful products in fast-paced environments Ways of workingComfortable working in ambiguity and defining your own path forwardProactive and self-directed - you identify opportunities and take initiativeStrong collaboration skills - you work effectively with diverse teams and build productive relationshipsExcellent communication - you can articulate design thinking clearly to any audienceStrategic mindset - you connect design decisions to business outcomesMindsetPassionate about creating meaningful user experiencesExcited by the opportunity to help shape team culture and practicesEnergised by growth environments where things are still being definedCommitted to continuous learning and raising your own barGenerous with knowledge and supportive of others' growthBooksy is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
