If you have a strong background in fabrication within the oil and gas sector, this is an excellent opportunity to join our dynamic team.Job OverviewLeads the discipline production engineering team, drafting squad leaders, material controllers etc. to meet project fabrication requirements.Technically capable in strategizing and delivering the discipline level fabrication efforts for complex EPIC projects.Manage inter/ intra– functional interfaces at discipline level for fabrication portion of project with minimal guidance.Responsible for optimal utilization and developing of the discipline team assigned on project.Key Tasks and ResponsibilitiesUnderstand the overall project scope of work to lead and guide the discipline production engineering team to meet project fabrication deliverables in line with fabrication sequence/ schedule. Eg: identify discipline constructability requirements, Issuance of approved workpack index, ensuring all deliverables (drawings & materials) are available to issue workpacks, workpack issue, assembly check list issue, change management like MOC/ SQS/ TQ/ VO, issue subcon RFQ’s/ SWO’s etc.Manages discipline level project fabrication progress within schedule, and productivity within targeted budget in coordination with project Operations Engineer.Supports project Operation Engineer to manage inter/ intra – functional interfaces and project reporting requirements like AFC estimate review, subcon coordination, project status reporting, developing fabrication sequence, conduct constructability reviews etc.Lead project constructability reviews on a discipline level including resolution of construction problems with intra/ inter function interfaces. Eg: Out of Sequence installation of a valve due to delay in deliveries.Support the Fabrication Bid coordination efforts on assigned Bid projects supporting the Fab Bid Coordinator Eg: preparing of fab adder/ fab PMT, review of specification and raise clarificationsInterface for discipline level requirements with key project personnel from various functions like Engineering, SCM, Quality, Cost control, Marine Operations, hook up etc. to meet priorities and schedule dates for project fabrication requirements. Eg: Attending expediting meeting to communicate material delivery priorities, reviewing, and communicating Marine deliverables requirement to meet fabrication plan/ sequence.Ensure necessary documentation and compliance to procedural requirements throughout the project phases. Eg: Adhere to workpack process, follow change management process, documenting and communicating lesson learned to relevant stakeholders at every phase of project to avoid recurrence, support in issuance of project close out report.Establishes a productive working relationship with client and third-party representatives.Essential Qualifications and Education: Education: Engineering Bachelor’s Degree with minimum of 2nd class honorsExperience: Over 10 years in Petrochemical/ Oil & Gas/ Similar Construction industry as discipline EngineerPreferred Qualifications and Education:Education: Engineering Bachelor’s Degree with 1st class honorsSkills and Abilities: Expertise and working knowledge for over 5 years on single or multiple disciplines for fabrication portion of oil & gas offshore structures like Topsides, Jacket or Pipeline.
