Senior Production Planner

Job Description

The production scheduling and procurement officer has a dual function: you will need to plan all purchase orders received on a daily basis, to be produced (MTO) or to be acquired (MTS) in order to be delivered to the customer in time. Control of the right execution of the production plan coming from the monthly Supply review and you will have to invoke raw materials and other needs to be able to carry out production or delivery.Tasks and responsibilities Short term planning of purchase orders (MTO): Collecting purchase orders for production, planning them considering production-planning, availability of raw materials, packaging materials, labels, etc....., to be able to deliver them at the requested delivery date.Following up on a permanent basis any delays in production and correcting if needed.Preparing all labels based on the planning of the production so that production will have them prior to starting up production.Mid-term planning of purchase orders: Planning production in line with the MPS (mid-term planning), mainly a combination of MTO model and margin MTS model.Procurement and Purchase of Raw materials:Procurement and purchase of all materials necessary to have orders planned and produced in time, taking into account the needed raw materials, packaging material, labels from the portfolio in the scope of responsibility, handling the process from requirement to delivery.Collecting purchase orders needed for further production or delivery, handling the process from requirement to delivery.Gather purchase orders of finished goods from other affiliates or external suppliers for stock.Import: liaise with clearance agent, issue B/L's.Checking stock reconciliation.Dealing with queries from the warehouse, suppliers and production. Control of goods receipt, quality acceptance, storage.Respond according to the demand update and operational deviations.Providing Key Performance Indicators as part of the plant dashboard.Liaise with the factory QC Manager in case of non-conformity on goods receipt, or in case of customer complaints on finished goods.Requirements for the job Minimum 5 years of comparable experience in a planning/scheduling/procurement position is required, even in other fields than Animal NutritionQuality sensitivity coming from previous experience (methods control, problem solving toolbox, corrective plan implementation, training session deployment)Good stakeholder management skillsStrong leadership and people management skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsOpen communicationEnergetic, well-organized, self-Initiated and coordination skillsGood analytical and problem solving-ability to identify creative solutionsGood process understandingAbility to work in a matrix organizationAbility to work under pressure, keeping quality in focusGood knowledge of MS Office programs, mainly ExcelGood IT knowledge of SAP/ECC or 4HANA (Material Management, Production Planning) and Power BIMinimum a bachelor’s degree (HBO) in logistics or supply chain is preferred
