Senior Project Engineer - Fuel Gas Supply Systems

A Snapshot of Your DayAs a Senior Project Engineer for Fuel Gas Supply Systems at Siemens Energy, you will provide engineering services related to fuel gas supply systems (conditioning, pressure regulation, preheating, compression) as well as fuel oil systems (supply, storage, treatment) and hydrogen admixing systems for our projects dealing with gas turbines. Your role will span product development, product qualification, bid preparation, supplier management, contract execution, and post-sales service. You will be a key contributor to innovative engineering teams working on large-scale international gas turbine power plant projects.How You’ll Make An ImpactDesign efficient solutions for fuel supply systems in power plants with gas turbines and calculate competitive costIssue technical tender documents and take ownership for tendering and ordering all relevant equipment of these systemsProcessing of supply contracts including supplier management, quality and target dates assurance, processing of all documents, etc.Assist our continuous improvement process and contribute to developing our systems for future developed applicationsSupport our Senior Experts in execution design reviews in several stages of projects based on technical contract specifications and the latest state of applicable technologies including codes and standardsSupport failure analysis and fixing when technical issues occurWhat You BringEngineer with a degree or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering or process engineeringMinimum 5 years of professional experience in the planning and execution of fuel handling systems in power plant projects or for large industrial plants (e.g. petrochemical, chemical etc.)This should comprise the required experience in doing all vital basic design calculations, selecting suitable hardware, preparing technical documents e.g. specifications, P&IDs, system descriptions and managing supply contracts in projectsExperience in preparing technical bids for projects including elaborating bid documents and performing cost calculationsHigh motivation and passion to develop and implement ambitious solutions in international teams.Proficiency in EnglishEagerness to go on regional and international business tripsAbout The TeamWe are an international team of engineers at different locations worldwide collaborating in many huge power plant projects.
