Senior Project Engineering ManagerJob Code: SR-PM-28Location: Abu Dhabi, UAEWork place: On SiteJob Type: Full Time About the RoleWe are seeking a Senior Project Engineering Manager to oversee and lead the engineering design and execution of complex offshore oil and gas projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality delivery of all engineering deliverables. This role requires exceptional technical leadership, multidisciplinary coordination, and the ability to manage large project teams through all phases of engineering.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all project engineering deliverables, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule adherence.Support the Business Development team in the early stages of project acquisition and tender preparation.Act as Technical Project Manager for major offshore or complex project bids.Lead and review tender documentation, including RfQ/scope reviews, technical queries, and clarifications.Define and approve project execution strategies, organizational structure, deliverable lists, schedules, and man-hour estimates.Review design requirements and plan the engineering design process for both offshore and onshore facilities.Coordinate internal teams and external consultants to ensure full scope fulfilment and design compliance with API, DNV, ISO, and client standards.Manage interfaces between topsides, jackets, and subsea pipelines to ensure integration.Lead engineering progress tracking, resource forecasting, and progress reporting.Identify and manage scope changes, design variations, and claim support documentation.Serve as the key interface between client design teams and internal engineering teams.Promote compliance with the company’s QHSE Policy and Integrated Management System.Competency RequirementsProven experience managing offshore oil and gas engineering projects, including topside and subsea systems.Expertise in coordinating multiple concurrent projects and leading multidisciplinary teams.Strong analytical, design, and leadership skills.Proficiency in proposal estimating, including man-hour, cost, and quantity estimation.Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers and promote professional growth within the team.Qualifications & ExperienceEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s preferred).Experience: Minimum 20 years in oil and gas facility design or operation, including significant experience in project engineering management.Technical Expertise: Conceptual, FEED, and detailed design of offshore platforms and natural gas/crude oil processing systems.Leadership: Experience managing teams of 5–10 engineers across various design disciplines.Language: English (mandatory).Preferred ExperienceExperience in field development planning.Strong familiarity with international offshore engineering codes and standards.
