But, even if you are earlier in your career or follow a non-traditional educational or professional path, we hope you will consider a career at CARE.Job Summary:The Senior Project Manager will lead project management for CARE's Global Supply Chain Transformation portfolio, which aims to transform CARE’s supply chain processes through the right technology, data, organization, and skills. Reporting to the Supply Chain Transformation Senior Director, who provides the strategic vision for the transformation, this role is accountable for achieving it through expert project management. This role involves coordinating the work of a large, diverse set of stakeholders and managing direct reports.This role provides project management for a complex portfolio encompassing multiple programs and projects, ensuring their alignment with CARE’s Project Delivery Lifecycle methodology.This role can be based wherever CARE is registered.Responsibilities:Project Planning & ImplementationDevelop plans that have defined scope, objectives, governance, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.Manage & prioritize project implementation & delivery in accordance with established plan(s).Identify and share resources and budget challenges to ensure project teams have the necessary skills and capacity to meet project requirements.Proactively address potential roadblocks and challenges to minimize impact on project success.Serve as a key operational enabler and strategic support to the Supply Chain Transformation Senior Director, proactively addressing team issues, developing resourcing requirements for new projects, and identifying potential roadblocks to ensure smooth portfolio delivery.Project Management, Reporting & GovernanceDrive the portfolio to a regular beat: monitor workstream activity, manage adherence to plan, and help team members resolve obstacles to delivery.Provide regular status reports on plans, finances, resources, risks, and issues in line with guidelines set out by the Transformation team.Proactively identify/manage project risks and issues.Support the Supply Chain Transformation Senior Director in managing the portfolio governance process, including the Supply Chain Transformation SteerCo and required stakeholders.Stakeholder EngagementEstablish strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring their needs are understood and expectations are managed throughout the Project Delivery Lifecycle.Communicate changes to scope or plans to stakeholders and assess their potential impact on the project's overall objectives.Work in close collaboration with the Senior Global Change Manager to ensure Change Management plans are incorporated and aligned to the overall programme plan.Organize and lead regular project check-ins for various audiences, including weekly project team meetings, monthly core team meetings, and broader stakeholder sessions.Contribute towards the wider promotion of project managementServe as an active member of Transformation’s Project & Change Management group.Help improve project management aspects within CARE’s Project Delivery Lifecycle and share examples of best practices.Serve as part of a group that helps deliver Project Delivery Lifecycle training to new project managers within Transformation and staff outside of Transformation.Mentor and develop others, fostering their skillsets and career growth.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of education and work experienceProven track record (six to eight years) of successfully managing complex transformation projects from initiation to completion.Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.Proficiency in project management software tools and methodologies.Developed organizational awareness and ability to understand any sensitivities within a complex multi-stakeholder structure.Solid understanding of risk management and change management.Preferred QualificationsMaster’s degree, or equivalent, with broad organizational experiencePMP certification.Business Analysis/requirements gathering knowledge.International experience and understanding of challenges facing the humanitarian and development sectors.
