Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.Caterpillar’s Excavation (EXD) division is hiring a Senior Project Manager within their Work Tool Business Development team.Role Summary: Drive continuous sales growth through strategic partner engagement. Lead, manage, and support projects related to the development and implementation of growth opportunities and process and product improvements in Caterpillar’s work tool business within the Excavation Division.What You’ll Do (Job Duties)Analyze and identify growth opportunities for work tools from a product and region perspective Lead projects to improve business results and drive financial results including developing project plans and business cases Identify and run process improvement projects across the portfolio inclusive of point-of-sale offerings and aftermarket opportunities Data analysis of global business results and communicate monthly results of work tools business plans with division leadership Gather information and benchmark best practices for business line improvement opportunities Work with peers from numerous divisions to analyze, scope, lead and execute process improvement projects What You Have (Core Skills)Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization Influencing: Ability to enhance collaboration and improving project advancements to achieve product growth goals Interpersonal Relationships: Ability to enable effective communication and foster collaboration to build professional relationships and advance projects Problem Solving: Ability to navigate challenges brought up in the project plan, improve products and processes, and helps provide innovation into our portfolio Process Improvement: Ability to streamline projects and increase the efficiency of the projects run Project Management: Ability to lead complex, global projects that will ultimately lead to customer solutions Top Candidates Will Also Have Bachelor's degree in business or engineering, with consideration for other related fields or work tools industry experience Excellent business acumen, collaboration, and leadership skills Previous commercial experience Previous team management experience Ability to work with global teams and resolve issues independentlyStrong command of English in both written and verbal communication is essential.Additional Details Relocation assistance is not supportedTravel: up to 25% This position requires 5 days per week in the office (M-F) We OfferOur goal at Caterpillar is for you to have a rewarding career.
