Senior Project Manager

Position: Senior Project ManagerHeadcount Solutions are seeking to recruit a Senior Project Manager for one of our multinational clients in Limerick.Responsibilities:Perform Duties of Senior Project Manager, Research and Development:Project management lead for assigned projects.Lead project management of projects and coordinate with technical leads to progress projects.Establishment and management of routine team meetings to facilitate plan updates, decision-making, problem solving, escalations e.g. resourcing gaps, mitigations vs non-adherence to plan.Assist with the introduction of best practice project management methodologies.Maintains oversight on Project budget; manages project risks i.e. leads the development of risk register and mitigations with the project team.Manage the key activities of the project and drive project tasks to ensure timely completion of project milestonesGenerate and monitor project metrics, including ownership of communicating to team/s and senior management.Responsible for realising business metrics within projects.Work closely to build effective relationships with cross functional groups to achieve project and company goals.Communications:Development, update and utilisation of the project stakeholder register.Regular communication to cross-functional teams, senior management and business unit leaders.Project status communications and reporting.Ensure effective reporting to all relevant stakeholders.Remain on the forefront of emerging industry practices.Instrumental in driving and implementing change to improve departmental and company performance.Educating oneself in the medical area for which the new devices are being developed in order to have an appreciation for what needs to be achieved with these products.Act as a delegate for the Manager, Research and Development.Qualifications / Requirements:Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in engineering or a related field.Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience is required.Proven Project Management methodology and skills.Certified in Project management is essential.Agile methodology is preferred but not essentialKnowledge of relevant ISO, EU, FDA medical device standards regulations is required.Experience of medical device development from concept through to commercialisation.Ability to effectively translate needs of clinicians and SBU into project inputs is preferred but not essential.Willingness and availability to travel on company business
