The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Brisbane, Australia.Key responsibilities:Project Manage the delivery of the Traffic Management System (TMS), accountability for Scope, Time, Cost, Risk, Quality and Change Control.Manage and coordinate the system requirements and functions, software development, testing & commissioning and verification & validation deliverables on the project.Manage and coordinate the engagement of End Users to ensure the resolution of user acceptance issues.Facilitate the integrated Assurance process in accordance with the Integrated and Progressive Assurance Strategies.Facilitate the Transition to Operations process in accordance with the Integration Strategies.Supervising the production of the project plans and schedules.Coordinating project reporting in compliance with the Alliance and Internal requirements.Contract Administration.Coordinating and supporting internal and external audits.Attending/chairing Project meetings and arrange the preparation of progress reports, performance reviews and commercial reports.Ensuring all activities undertaken are conducted with due regard to a high-level of continuous improvement.Ensuring all activities undertaken are conducted with due regard to a high-level of safety.Be a leading example of the Hitachi Rail mission, vision and valuesSkills & Experience:Proven record delivering complex software and system projectsSignificant commercial experience (5+ years) working in complex, multi-discipline engineering and software projects including phases of requirements, procurement, software development, integration, commissioning (ideally within the rail industry).A degree in engineering or equivalent.Training in PMP, Prince 2 or similar Project Management methodology.Initiative-taking, with excellent leadership, organisational, communication and people skills.Agile mindset, able to take prompt decisions in a challenging environment.Ability to work and lead in a multicultural environment.Microsoft Office proficiency.Experience in the following areas of project management: Customer management, scheduling, planning, critical path analysis, change management, risk management, cost estimation.At Hitachi Rail, we know that a diverse business is a sustainable business.
