Job DescriptionJob Overview:The Senior Project Fabrication Manager is responsible for the management of all Fabrication Yard (BFY) related activities required to fabricate and load out the NFXP Topsides fabricated in BFY. The Senior Project Fabrication Manager dually reports to the Project Director and BFY Fabrication Yard Management. The Senior Project Fabrication Manager ensures continuous alignment between the Project and BFY and warrants the reliability of schedule, efficiency, and budget targets.The Senior Project Fabrication Manager is accountable for delivering the BFY Fabrication Works within the allocated budget.ResponsibilitiesKey Tasks and Responsibilities:Preparation phase:Evaluate any Fabrication related tasks not performed by the Fabrication Yard and develop strategies to ensure that these tasks are covered by the ProjectEnsure timely delivery by Chennai Engineering Centre of Fabrication Engineering deliverablesEnsure timely delivery by CSE of Fabrication Engineering deliverablesDevelop and maintain in close collaboration with the Project Fabrication Manager the readiness matrixEnsure that the Project timely contributes to the Fabrication readiness by producing Project assigned deliverables and associated tasksCollect Lessons Learned from Batam Fabrication Yard and determine required actions to account for these in BFYEnsures that Welding PQR developed at Batam are properly cascaded to BFYPrepare Yard indirect Subcontractors Scope of Work and BOQAssist SCM in the tendering process of these subcontractorsEnsure that subcontractors are qualified and audited as requiredKick off the subcontractors works, readiness and mobilization to Fabrication YardDevelop strategies for valves testingDevelop strategies for procurement of missing permanent materials (top-Up)Lead with the support of the Fabrication Support Manager the readiness process for the timely start of the NFXP Topsides Fabrication at BFY Fabrication YardMobilize the Project Fabrication Team and set up the Production Engineering TeamStaff the supervision teams to ensure a proper follow-up of the Fabrication YardImplement all Project HSE requirements at the BFY Fabrication YardImplement all Project Quality requirements at the BFY Fabrication YardEstablish and maintain in close coordination with BFY Fabrication Yard Management, the NFXP Topside Fabrication Sequence and associated yard layouts plus manpower requirementsDevelop Level 4 schedule based on Project L3 schedule and agreed Fabrication SequenceDevelop craneage plan based on Level 4 scheduleEnsure in close coordination with BFY Fabrication Yard Management, the mobilization plan of the resources required to fulfill the Project schedule requirements in line with agreed Fabrication SequenceSupervise and review all Fabrication Procedures and issue them to COMPANYPrepare for receipt, storage, and preservation of Project MaterialsEvaluate, fabricate, and test all Fabrication AidsBridge BFY Processes with NFXP Requirements and develop ad hoc Project specific processes to cover any identify gapDevelop basis of reportingPrepare Yard direct Subcontractor Scope of Work (NKOM) and BOQSupervise the qualification of any welding procedure required to perform the Project Fabrication ScopeInitiate the process of quantities remeasurement at receipt of AFC deliverables from EngineeringCoordinate all support required by BFY from Fabrication FunctionEstablish Fabrication Yard Procurement Plan for consumablesFabrication phase:Lead HSE efforts on the Fabrication YardSupervise the Project Fabrication Team and the Production Engineering TeamSupervise receipt, storage, and preservation of Project MaterialsSupervise allocation of materials based on Level 4 scheduleSupervise NKOM Fabrication worksSupervise Fabrication works reportingMonitor Yard progressEnsure that materials are delivered with appropriate certificates and installation manualsSupervise Valves Testing in line with Fabrication RequirementsControlling all engineering queries raised by the yard and provide timely answeMobilize indirect subcontractorsSupervise performance of indirect subcontractorsArrange support of Vendors required to assemble GRP and HelideckContinuously close gaps between BFY needs and ProjectPrepare mobilization of Commissioning Team and ensure that ad hoc subcontracts are in place.Determine Yard productivity and verify accordingly adequacy of construction team and manpower with BFY Fabrication Yard ManagementEstablish recovery plans as required when Yard progress falls under late trendProvide Look ahead plans and update resources requirements based on thesePlan, arrange and supervise the transportation of fabricated components within the Fabrication YardSupporting and Monitoring Subcontractor activities during the Fabrication at Fabrication YardSupervise timely delivery of Fabrication Yard ConsumablesPrepare for load out and sea-fasteningCoordinate Project QC activities by Fabrication Yard QC DepartmentManage MOC processReport the works on daily, weekly and monthly basisSupervise any corrective works required by QualityProvide resources to Commissioning TeamPost Fabrication phase:Defining and following-up interfaces concerning post fabrication phases (transportation, installation).Collecting and transferring Red Mark-up drawings to the EngineeringOwn and lead the implementation, enforcement, and verification of compliance with all McDermott policies and proceduresEnsure employees understand their responsibility and authority to effectively implement the requirements of all McDermott policies and proceduresEnsure the timely completion of all mandatory training by themselves and their teamsQualificationsEssential Qualifications and Education:Bachelor of Sciences, Bachelor of EngineeringFluent in English20 years of Experience in Projects in Oil and Gas Contracting business15 years of Experience in Hook-Up and Commissioning BusinessThorough understanding of the EPI Project with good knowledge of Engineering and Construction activitiesScheduling knowledgeExcellent commercial and technical acumenStrong communication and interpersonal skillsDemonstrate capability to take full ownership and be accountable for the success of his roleProactively
