Service Project ManagerContract and full-timeBase in WellingtonWe are helping our client and looking for a Service Project Manager to work on a Critical Communication Programme, which aims to deliver a modern communications capability for an Emergency Services.Mō tēnei tūranga - About this roleThis role is responsible for planning and project managing the interactions between technical teams across the programme to assist the delivery of the programme.You will work closely with procurement delivery partner, solution vendors, service providers in assuring the delivery of the Project .Your key focus on the role will be:Focus on the delivery of service componentsSolution development with engineering teams, vendors, and agencies to resolve design and integration issues.Drive timely planning and delivery of service componentsManage review processes for design, technical specifications, and testing artefacts.Oversee delivery of all service components within a technically and operationally complex environment.Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure complianceLead the delivery of longer-term roadmap items in accordance with contractual obligations.Demonstrate flexibility in resolving emerging issues and identifying practical solution options.Provide structured and regular reportingRequirements:Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.With 5 to 10 years of project management, technical background in radio, ICT and/or telecommunications, preferably within government.You will demonstrate a strong focus on issue identification and resolution.Has a deep understanding of programme governance and delivery processesBackground in telecommunications deployment programmes
