Find out more about working with us .About The RoleAs the Senior Project Officer, you will:Lead specialist project activities to achieve the outcomes expected of the project.Coordinate the development, implementation and monitoring of project plans and phases, including the coordination of various activities associated with achieving the project objectives.The Senior Project Officer, reports to the nominated supervisor of the work area.Responsibilities IncludeUndertake project planning, analysis, integrate project activities and evaluate the impact of projects and initiatives.Develop, implement and monitor project services in consultation with stakeholders to ensure identified needs are met.Research, develop, maintain and review operational policies, standards, procedures and programs to support the unit's function across the department.Prepare briefing material, submissions, papers and reports.Coordinate, organise, participate and promote the activities of the work unit.Develop and maintain relevant links and networks with other units, other Branches within the department, other government agencies and other entities.It would be highly desirable for our ideal candidate to possess:Personal drive and integrity to deliver projects and work autonomouslyCommitment to collaboration and teamworkEffective time management and strong written and verbal communication skillsExperience working on complex projects to achieve required outcomes within set timeframes and on budgetKnowledge of relevant Queensland Department of Education initiatives, such as Equity and Excellence: realising the potential of every student and the Schools of the future STEM strategy.Interested?
