Senior QA Automation Engineer - Java, Selenium

We’re looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our ever evolving WPG team to help us unleash the potential of every business.What you’ll own as the Senior QA Automation EngineerYou will be owning the designing and planning test strategies for projects and applicationsYou will be undertaking planning activities for agile deliveriesYou will work alongside the Automation Test Lead to progress automation backlog itemsYou will create automated tests to enhance the existing test suite using SeleniumYou will support and maintain the test automation framework with respect to implementation of new features, existing features and bug fixesYou will be analysing requirements and user stories to derive automated test cases, adding to the test suite using SeleniumYou will be executing tests thoroughly to ensure software quality, running automated tests and identifying defectsYou will be actively contributing to process improvement initiatives and enhancements to current procedures including recommending quality improvementsYou will be working with project teams to resolve any issues in a timely manner whilst keeping relevant stakeholders informed of progress and challengesYou will be supporting and maintaining the test automation framework with respect to implementation of new features, existing features, or bug fixesWhat You'll BringPrevious experience of working as a Quality Assurance Automation EngineerExperience within an agile development environmentExperience of test automation using Java and Selenium Web DriverAbility to refactor code to reduce complexityExperience of mentoring and coaching junior members of the teamKnowledge of software testing procedures and be skilled in test planning, test estimation, prioritisation and risk-based testingPractical experience of agile testing methodologies – BDD, TDD etc.Making decisions, often with limited information and communicating these to others within the teamStrong written and verbal communication skillsUnix and SQL skillsIt’s a bonus if you haveHands-on experience with API and Microservices testingExperience with public cloud platforms (AWS, OpenShift)About The TeamTo learn more about our winning teams, check out our world-class teams that own it every day.What Makes a WorldpayerWhat makes a Worldpayer?
