Senior QA Automation Engineer (German language)

About the roleWe are seeking a talented and experienced QA Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. Working alongside technologists and subject matter experts, you will be responsible for implementing functionalities across an application designed for a leading German platform in the energy sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in test automation, excellent problem-solving skills, and fluency in German language. ResponsibilitiesOwn the test strategy for each epic/story and turn acceptance criteria into executable tests.Build and maintain UI automation for Angular SPAs (Cypress or Playwright).Develop API automation and contract checks for Spring services.Ensure deterministic runs through data seeding, test doubles and stable environments.Implement quality gates, dashboards and actionable reporting in pipelines. Requirements3+ years of experience in QA automation for web applications.Fluency in German (B2 or higher), required for collaboration and documentation.Proven experience with Cypress or Playwright (TypeScript) for UI testing.Strong background in API testing (Postman, Playwright API, Rest Assured).Solid understanding of asynchronous flows and stateful app testing.Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Azure DevOps).Proficiency with Git, Jira, and clear defect tracking/documentation. Nice to HaveKnowledge of Angular internals and testing best practices.Performance testing experience (k6, JMeter).Familiarity with observability tools (Azure Monitor, logs, traces, HARs).Experience with mocks/stubs, synthetic data, or basic security testing (OWASP Top 10).
