To achieve this, Riverty leverages the expertise of Senior QA Engineer to design, develop, and implement automated testing solutions to ensure software quality and functionality.We are looking for aSenior QA Engineer(unlimited, full-time) Join our team at our location in Oslo – flexible working conditions availableWhat will be your challenge in this role?As a Senior QA Engineer, you will build software that improves testing—tools, frameworks, and automated suites. You’ll enhance the quality of existing applications by designing, executing, and automating tests. You’ll also work closely with the DevOps team to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines, enabling reliable continuous delivery.Your responsibilities will include: Analyzing requirements to design, refine, and execute tests, ensuring full coverage of product scenarios. Developing and maintaining automated test scripts, frameworks, and tools to support high-quality delivery. Creating traceability between requirements and test cases, assessing system quality, and tracking test metrics. Automating test cases for new features and performing regression and acceptance testing for releases. Embedding automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to provide fast, continuous feedback. Investigating test failures, identifying root causes, and driving defect resolution. Applying “test as code” practices to cover all aspects of the product. Setting up virtualized test environments and generating actionable reports. Partnering with developers to ensure testability, write tests at the lowest possible level, maximize coverage, and adopt shift-left practices.Technologies you’ll work with: Languages & Frameworks: C# .NET, JavaScript Testing & Automation: Postman, Spec Flow, RestShrap, Rest Assured, Cucumber, Cypress, Selenium, Allure Reports, SQL CI/CD & Cloud: Azure DevOps, Azure Containers: Docker, Docker Compose Performance & API Testing: SoapUI, JMeter, GatlingWhat will help you to succeed in the role? 8+ years of experience in Software Development in Test across diverse projects, technologies, and domains. Deep understanding of testing types, strategies, and methodologies, with the ability to select the right approach for each context. Strong proficiency in automation tools and frameworks, with hands-on expertise in BDD tooling (e.g., Cucumber.js, Spec Flow, Cypress with BDD). Proven track record of designing and building automation frameworks from the ground up. Solid experience testing complex APIs and messaging interfaces. Practical knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, dependency management, and source control systems. Experience working with microservices architectures and distributed systems. Background in DevOps environments, collaborating closely with development and operations teams. Ability to maintain and modernize tests for legacy applications, ensuring quality even in complex, older systems. As a person, you are self-driven, have a proactive and can-do attitude.
