Senior QA Engineer

About The RoleSitech is looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer to lead the quality assurance efforts for our digital products. In this role, you will oversee the testing process, guide junior QA team members, manage client expectations, and ensure the delivery of robust, high-performing solutions. You will play a key part in shaping QA best practices and driving continuous improvement across projects.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the planning, design, and execution of test strategies for complex web and mobile applications.Conduct manual and automated testing to identify and eliminate defects.Oversee testing of RESTful APIs and backend integrations.Manage and mentor a team of QA engineers, ensuring effective task allocation and performance.Coordinate and communicate directly with clients to understand requirements, clarify issues, and provide status updates.Track and manage defects using JIRA and collaborate with development teams to resolve them.Write and execute SQL queries to validate database integrity (MySQL, MongoDB).Drive continuous improvement in QA processes, testing tools, and automation frameworks.Participate in sprint reviews, retrospectives, and project meetings as a key quality representative.Qualifications & Skills5–8 years of QA experience testing web and mobile applications.Solid understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and agile methodologies.Proven experience leading QA efforts and managing team members.Strong communication and client-facing skills.Hands-on experience testing RESTful APIs, using JIRA, and querying MySQL/MongoDB databases.Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving abilities.ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) - preferred.Experience writing and maintaining automated tests - an advantage.
