Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Senior QA Automation Engineer (SQL & Data-Focused)Our client, a leading FinTech firm, is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong SQL skills, proven experience working with large datasets, and a background in Investments or Financial Services. This is a high-impact role where you will shape the QA strategy, build advanced test automation frameworks, and ensure data accuracy across complex systems.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for data-centric applications.Ensure data quality and accuracy when working with large and complex datasets.Lead the development and evolution of QA Automation strategy and tooling across the tech stack.Collaborate with engineers, data specialists, and business analysts to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions.Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to improve release efficiency.Implement end-to-end, regression, and performance testing practices to ensure system reliability.Continuously evaluate new tools and frameworks to enhance QA capabilities.Senior stakeholder communication Required Experience7+ years’ experience in QA Automation, ideally in data-rich environments.Strong SQL and data querying skills.Proven experience working with large datasets and ensuring data integrity / accuracy.Experience with Pytest or similar test frameworks (Cucumber, Karate, etc.).Skilled in scripting languages (e.g. Python, Java, or similar).Strong exposure to Agile methodologies, CI/CD, and version control tools.Desirable SkillsBackground in Investments or Financial Services.Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms or big data ecosystems.Familiarity with BDD (Behaviour Driven Development) practices.Experience with performance and load testing tools.EducationBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline.Benefits & PackagePermanent position with a competitive salary & benefits package.Dublin City Centre location.Hybrid model: 4 days onsite, 1 day remote per week.HOW TO APPLY:If you are interested in this role, please apply for this role with your updated CV
