Forte Group is looking for an experienced Senior Quality Engineer (QE) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality automated and manual tests to ensure the stability and performance of our products.This role involves both automation (70%) and manual testing (30%) for critical business scenarios. We are seeking someone who is independent, proactive, and detail-oriented, with a passion for quality and continuous improvement.About the ProductOur product and engineering team owns an enterprise-class workload automation platform that provides a centralized, enterprise-wide interface for planning and controlling the execution of business processes via automation of jobs scheduling and workflow orchestration across multiple applications, systems and infrastructure. The entire product ecosystem consists of several applications tightly integrated with each other and used to orchestrate complex IT workflows, optimize workload automation activities, provide centralized management of schedules, collect analytics and stream data related to the software operations.About the TeamOur engineering organization is international and distributed across Poland, Ukraine, Argentina, the United States, with colleagues also based in Germany, the Netherlands, and other European countries.The structure consists of:2 end-to-end Feature Teams responsible for building and evolving core product functionalityA dedicated Test Automation Team ensures quality and reliabilityThe Escalation Team, which you will join, is a specialized group that partners closely with Support, Feature Teams, and QE to resolve critical production issues, investigate complex problems, and deliver sustainable fixes. This team acts as a bridge between engineering and customer-facing functions, ensuring that urgent challenges are addressed quickly without slowing down ongoing feature developmentWe use Jira for backlog management and prioritization, Confluence for documentation, and collaborate daily via Slack and Zoom. Our teams follow a Scrum-based Agile process with 2-week iterations, structured backlog grooming, and a strong culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing across distributed locations.The team, where this specific role is open, is owning the implementation of new and updates to the existing adapters that connect to various third parties (Kubernetes, Databricks, Apache Spark, databases, etc. - all in all 40+ various adapters) and agents that install on Windows and Linux OS. This is very technical job content, it's a great opportunity to upskill in various technologies while working as a QE Engineer.Technologies and ToolsTech Stack: Cypress, Playwright, TypeScript, Github ActionsDatabases: MS SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQLOS: Windows, Linux, *NixIDE: IntelliJ IDEA, Visual Studio CodeTools: Jira, Confluence, X-Ray, SlackAI Tools: GitHub CoPilot, Google GeminiRepository: GitHubResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and maintain automated tests for new features using Cypress and PlaywrightContribute to and enhance the existing Test Automation Framework (TAF)Execute manual testing for new functionalities, ensuring comprehensive test coverageCollaborate closely with developers, product owners, and QE peers to clarify requirements and define acceptance criteriaPerform functional, regression, and integration testing in agile development cyclesIdentify, document, and track defects through the entire lifecycleInvestigate and validate third-party integrations, identifying issues and ensuring compatibility and reliability across connected systemsContinuously improve test strategies, tools, and processes to increase test efficiency and effectivenessProvide mentorship and guidance to junior QE team members when neededQualifications and Skills5+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on test automationProven experience with Playwright, and proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScriptSolid understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and Agile/Scrum practicesHands-on experience with test design, test case management, and defect tracking toolsExperience in building/supporting REST-based API automationKnowledge of Docker is essentialPerformance testing experience is a plusAI Agents, Tools usage would be a plusFamiliarity with Github Actions would be a plusStrong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skillsExcellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality resultsStrong communication and collaboration skills; comfortable working in a cross-functional team environmentUpper-Intermediate English level or higherWhat’s in it for youWork your way — anywhere, anytime.
