Job Purpose:To manage all aspects of cost estimation, contract administration, and quantity surveying for construction projects. The Senior Quantity Surveyor ensures that projects are completed within budget, comply with contract requirements, and maintain profitability and cost efficiency in line with company and client expectations.Key Responsibilities:1. Cost Estimation & BudgetingPrepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQ), and pricing documents for tenders and ongoing projects.Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to identify potential savings.Develop and monitor project budgets and forecasts throughout the project lifecycle.2. Procurement & TenderingPrepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, quantities, and cost estimates.Evaluate subcontractor quotations and negotiate terms and pricing.Support procurement teams in finalizing material and subcontractor packages.3. Contract AdministrationReview and interpret project contracts, drawings, and specifications.Administer contract changes, variations, and claims.Ensure compliance with FIDIC and other contractual frameworks commonly used in KSA.4. Measurement & ValuationConduct regular site measurements and prepare interim payment applications and final accounts.Verify subcontractor invoices and progress claims.Maintain accurate records of project progress and cost data.5. Cost Control & ReportingTrack project costs against budget and forecast potential deviations.Prepare monthly cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and profitability analyses.Report financial performance and advise management on cost optimization.6. Claims & Dispute ManagementPrepare and evaluate claims related to variations, extensions of time, and additional costs.Support the commercial manager in dispute resolution and negotiations.7. Coordination & CommunicationCoordinate with project management, engineering, and procurement teams.Attend site meetings to discuss progress, costs, and contractual matters.Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors professionally and efficiently.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.Minimum 7–12 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying in large-scale construction/infrastructure projects, preferably in KSA or GCC.Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts, KSA construction regulations, and cost management practices.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, MS Project, and Cost Control software (e.g., CCS, Candy, or Primavera).Excellent communication, negotiation, and reporting skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).Core Competencies:Strong analytical and numerical skills.Attention to detail and accuracy.Contract and commercial awareness.Leadership and team coordination skills.Problem-solving and decision-making ability.
