Senior Scientist BCQC

Position PurposeAs Senior Scientist in Bio-/Chemical Quality Control, you will play a key role in establishing and leading QC operations at our Lengnau site. You’ll support analytical method transfers and validations, drive inspection readiness, and ensure GMP compliance while mentoring junior colleagues and managing QC projects.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate analytical method development, transfer, validation, and equipment qualificationWrite, review, and approve SOPs, protocols, and reports according to GMP and GDP standardsOversee laboratory processes for testing of intermediates, final products, raw materials, and cleaning validation samplesManage QC-related projects and coordinate daily team activities and resource planningAct as QC representative in cross-functional initiatives and ensure data-driven project executionMentor and support team members in analytical troubleshooting and GMP complianceEnsure timely documentation, deviation management, and communication across QC and QA teamsApprove and authorize use of controlled substances as per Swiss regulations (BetmG 812.121)Qualifications & ExperienceMaster’s degree or higher in biochemistry, chemistry, pharmaceuticals, or a related field3–5 years of laboratory experience, including at least 2 years in a GMP-regulated environmentStrong expertise in (bio)chemical QC methods, method validation, and analytical issue resolutionProven experience in project coordination and leadershipFluent in English; good knowledge of German preferredCore CompetenciesBusiness insight & results orientationEffective communication & collaborationAgility and adaptability in complex environmentsQuality mindset with strong ownershipWhat We OfferA dynamic and international GMP environmentBroad responsibilities in an expanding QC organizationOpportunities for professional growth and continuous learning
