Senior Scrum Master

Job DescriptionSNCB is looking for a highly experienced Senior Scrum Master to join our software development team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in driving the team towards delivering high-value, high-quality products while adhering to Agile principles and practices. Your primary responsibilities will include coaching the team in Agile methodologies, facilitating Scrum ceremonies, removing impediments, and fostering collaboration within and across teams. Additionally, you will work closely with the Back-end team to ensure delivery and assess impacts on other assets. We are looking for a natural leader with proven experience in Scrum practices and a passion for driving excellence in software development.ResponsibilitiesAccountabilities to the Development Team:Collaborate with the development team to produce high-value and high-quality productsActively participate in unblocking the team and removing impediments to ensure smooth progress of development activitiesOrganize and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including the daily Scrum, sprint planning, retrospective meetings, etc.Coach the team on Agile ways of working, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovationAssist the team in consistently adhering to relevant engineering practices to maintain product quality and reliabilityAccountabilities To The OrganizationWork closely with other teams within the organization to facilitate delivery and ensure alignment of objectivesCollaborate with the Back-end team to assess impacts on other assets and coordinate dependencies effectivelyJob RequirementsMinimum of 10 years of experience as a Scrum Master for a software development team, following Scrum principlesProficiency in using JIRA for project management and agile development processesNatural leadership abilities with a knack for building trust and connecting with team members effortlesslyMastery of communication and coaching techniques to effectively guide the team towards achieving its goalsStrong teamwork, communication, stress management, and initiative-taking skillsExperience and expertise in conflict resolution, continuous improvement, accountability, and increased transparencyAbility to work effectively with off-shore developers and manage distributed teamsProficiency in English (fluent) and either Dutch or FrenchEnthusiastic team player with a genuine interest in web technologies and emerging trendsTakes ownership of tasks and initiatives, demonstrating assertiveness and charismaLeads by example, demonstrating strong business acumen and strategic thinkingOur offerBenefitsWithin our open corporate culture, you contribute to the digital transformation of SNCB.
