Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. We have design, sales, and manufacturing locations globally and are currently seeking a Signal Integrity Engineer to join our team located in Valley Green, PA. The SI Engineer would be part of an established team of dedicated signal integrity engineers and engineers of other disciplines who are responsible for both component development as well as customer support on new product introduction.ResponsibilitiesCollaborating on a multi-disciplinary team in the development of next generation high speed backplane interconnect productsDesign, simulation, characterization, and application of high-speed electrical connectors and cable-based interconnect Assist with providing solutions to customers across a wide range of sectors with their high-speed data transmission requirementsSupport the internal Sales Engineers to develop strategies for product break-in at existing and new accounts based on signal integrity and electrical engineering expertiseIdentify and resolve signal Integrity issues in PCB layout, and directing layoutApplication of Circuit theory and high-speed digital transmission, PCB layout principles for high-speed digital designRequired QualificationsBS in Electrical Engineering or PhysicsHands-on experience with frequency-domain and time-domain component and circuit characterization including understanding of test and calibration methodsExperience with signal integrity measurements and debugging with TDR, VNA, pattern generators, error detectors and similar measurement equipment Understanding of electro-magnetic principlesPreferred QualificationsMS/PhD in Electrical Engineering or Physics2+ years of industry experienceExperience in component design and application of high-speed interconnects into communications systemsExperience with signal integrity and simulation/analysis tools such as ANSYS HFSS and Designer, CST Microwave Studio, HSPICE, MATLAB, and ADSAmphenol Corporation is proud of our reputation as an excellent employer.
