We’re looking for a Senior Java Software Engineer to join our ever evolving Billing & Funding team to help us unleash the potential of every business.What You’ll Own As The Senior Software EngineerBilling and Funding within Worldpay has built a pricing and billing engine using big-data tech, we are almost at the end of the first phase of an exciting journey re-engineering our core payments platform to be more cost effective, scalable and cloud ready. The next phase of our journey is a move to the cloud, making our software cloud native, our infrastructure code and using CI/CD to increase our speed of delivery.You will be responsible for implementing and expanding the Cloud estate within the programme with a focus on compute, networking, storage, observability, reliability and security.You will be responsible for building, implementing and maintaining, infrastructure as code and tooling with the CloudYou will create cloud environments and data strategy ensuring interaction with on premise (where applicable), data replication and create CI/CD for faster deliveryYou will strive to make our cloud offering as self service, empowering the engineering community to own their infrastructure and software and enable reuseYou will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations and policy of the internal security teams.You will need to work closely with our software engineers bringing them on the cloud journey with a guiding handWhat You’ll BringExperience of building enterprise grade applications on AWSKnowledge of Functional programming in Java and Data StructureSolid hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services, specifically: IAM, EMR Serverless, Fargate, S3 and CloudWatchExperience of building applications with embedded CI/CD to ensure frequent and reliable software deliveryStrong understanding around CI/CD practices, principles and fundamentals. i.e. Infrastructure as code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation.Excellent communication skills and a desire to impart knowledgeIt’s a bonus if you haveExperience with SparkExperience with VPC, EC2 ELB, Auto-Scaling (including Groups), Route53, Lambda, ECS, CloudFormation and DynamoDB are nice to haveAbout The TeamTo learn more about our winning teams, check out our world-class teams that own it every day.What Makes a WorldpayerWhat makes a Worldpayer?
