ResponsibilitiesRecommend, implement category procurement and commodity sourcing strategies to align with strategic plans.Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute local or global strategies covering categories and commodities across a broad customer base.Support the execution of the sourcing and supplier management program, including developing RFx proposals, evaluating and recommending best available options, negotiating contracts, and transitioning and monitoring suppliers.Partner with Divisional Leadership to develop effective supplier relationships that ensure high performance and competitive pricing.Establish healthy relationships with suppliers and stakeholders; drive a two-way exchange of information related to strategies, priorities, requirements, and disputes.Negotiate contract provisions and draft complex contract language for initial agreements and ongoing amendments; facilitate coordination between internal and external stakeholders; ensure contracts include clauses to mitigate and manage risks from a commercial standpoint and are compliant with company policies and legal requirements.Interpret supplier contracts, participate in contract change negotiations, and monitor fulfilment of contractual obligations.Monitor supplier performance and facilitate communications between stakeholders to ensure business expectations are met.Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across Sourcing & ProcurementQualificationsBachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, or other directly applicable field or equivalent education/experience.At least 5 years of experience in technology category procurement, strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract management.Experience with the supplier identification, selection, and negotiation process for technology suppliers.Demonstrated experience leading or supporting organisational change initiatives, particularly in procurement or technology environments.Knowledge of supplier management best practices and industry trends.Exceptional written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills requiring a balance of assertiveness, tact, and diplomacy; demonstrated ability to lead difficult conversations and collaborate, facilitate, and achieve consensus amongst key stakeholders.Ability to work effectively and cultivate strong relationships across all levels of the organization and with external parties.Ability to work with teams across geographically dispersed locations.Ability to effectively manage ambiguous situations and drive towards clarification; Demonstrated ability to influence others and drive change.Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.Ability to succeed under pressure, set priorities, and meet deadlines in a rapid-paced environment.Self-motivated with a positive attitude.Strong business acumen and demonstrated ability to put strategic plans into operation.Proven ability to manage multiple projects and support activities within a single job function.Preferred QualificationsGlobal perspective and experience working with diverse customers and suppliers.Experience in a shared services environment.Experience in the financial services industry.Experience in the technology category.Experience managing suppliers with global product/service provisioning models.Experience across multi-functional business processes.Experience working with various electronic procurement tools.What We OfferCompetitive salaryComprehensive health packageCafeteriaAll You Can MoveBrand new office at an excellent locationHybrid workingOpportunities for growth and advancementA highly people-centric, positive, and supportive work environmentAegon is an international financial service holding company headquartered in Schiphol, the Netherlands.
