Job DescriptionPOSITION TITLE: Senior Specialist, Special OperationsREPORTING TO: Team LeadLOCATION: Cebu, PhilippinesSummary DescriptionWorking with an emerging shared services organization, the Senior Specialist is responsible for delivering the mandates of the Special Operations Team. This team tackles time-sensitive and mission critical operational imperatives head-on coming from Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report. They use their special skills to efficiently relieve operational teams on capacity issues. They provide additional support for major periodic transitions. They assist in investigating and correcting escalated issues while maintaining positive relationships with internal and external customers.This team reports to the Cebu Site Director with the Senior Managers as the key stakeholders.Essential ResponsibilitiesActs as immediate relief to DBS functions who are experiencing organizational capacity challenges.Assists the Senior Team Lead in assessing proper resource planning.Assists the Managers/Sr Managers in executing activities that improve quality and efficiency.Assists in stabilizing the operations.Identifies process improvement and relay to the process Managers.Performs periodic review of team capacity and utilization.Participates in Continuous Improvement and/or Automation initiatives to design new or re engineer existing financial or business processes which drive business transformation. Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in accountancy (CPA highly desirable); Information Technology, Computer ScienceMinimum 5 years’ experience in one or more of the end-to-end finance processes (AP, AR & GL, FA, Intercompany & Lease)At least 3+ years in the shared services modelExperienced with major ERP Systems (i.e. SAP, Oracle, etc.) and reporting/business intelligence tools such as MS Power BI, Tableau Software, SAP BI and the like.Proficiency using Microsoft Excel (i.e. basic to complex formulas, pivoting, graphs and charts, Macro Excel is a plus)Six-sigma trained is a plus.Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Applications (including SharePoint and Web-based applications) Preferred QualificationsAbility to work with leads and managers of other teams and functions.Ability to develop, implement and assess performance metrics.Excellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to critically analyze data and determine its validity.Exercises professional skepticism.Ability to work in a fast paced, high-volume environment while remaining organized with strict attention to detail.Ability to meet deadlines and produce accurate results.Willing to work flexible hours when business conditions dictate.High level of customer focus and ability to always maintain a positive attitude.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.Self-directed, positive and ethical role model able to work with minimal supervision.Ability to always maintain a professional demeanor with customer and coworkers, fully observe Dover’s Code of Ethical Conduct, Employee Handbook “Personal Conduct of Employees” policies and ISO Quality System StandardsCompany OverviewDover Business Services (DBS) is an independent business to business service provider within Dover Corporation, a diversified global manufacturer with annual revenues of $7.5 billion.
