Senior Specialist, Inventory & Operations Analyst

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the OrganizationIn this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimising inventory levels to ensure smooth, efficient operations across the business. You’ll develop and enforce best practices in stock counts, audits, and reconciliation, while driving stock optimisation, clearance strategies, and volume/article projections. Partnering with internal and external stakeholders, you’ll ensure seamless execution of the Customer Order Book.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and coordinate weekly stock reconciliations between SAP and 3PL ERP systems, including interface monitoring and error resolution.Track current inventory levels and align booked stock at distribution centres against purchase orders.Monitor cycle count reports, investigate discrepancies, and ensure timely resolution.Manage regular stock adjustments and inventory movements to correct SAP category locations.Deliver stock snapshot analyses and discrepancy fixes.Support Finance during internal and external inventory audits.Monitor Reverse Logistics inventory, including returns from adidas stores, wholesale customers, and store-to-store transfers.Key Relationships3PL providers (warehouses)DC Operations & InboundOrder FulfilmentPurchasingEcommece Business UnitCustomer ServiceFinance & Internal ControlsIT & LegalKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong knowledge of Warehousing and Distribution operations.Expertise in goods flow from DC to customers/consumers and reverse logistics.Solid background in Inventory Management and analysis.Excellent planning and organisational skills with ability to meet tight deadlines.Analytical mindset with willingness to challenge the status quo.Strong communication skills, able to collaborate across functions.Minimum QualificationsDegree in Economics, Engineering, or a related field.Post-graduate qualifications in Supply Chain Management and/or Project Management preferred.5+ years’ experience in Inventory Control within Supply Chain and Retail Operations.Proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP/SAP, and WMS.Skilled in communication, presentation, and problem solving.adidas celebrates diversity, supports inclusiveness and encourages individual expression in our workplace.
