Job Title:Senior Specialist – Market IntelligenceReports To:Director – Capital EfficiencyDepartment / Function:Project Development & Engineering (PD&E) – PMOPosition Type:SMPJob Purpose:The Senior Specialist, Market Intelligence is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting market and industry data to support strategic decision-making and enhance competitive positioning. This role plays a key part in strengthening business intelligence, optimizing capital efficiency, and supporting supply chain resilience initiatives.Key Accountabilities:Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and emerging risks in the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) sectors.Develop and maintain a robust market intelligence database ensuring information accuracy, consistency, and timely updates.Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to collect and interpret market data relevant to ongoing and upcoming projects.Monitor key industry developments, competitor activities, and regulatory or policy changes that could affect strategic planning or operations.Prepare and present market intelligence reports, dashboards, and executive briefings for senior management.Analyze supply chain risks and propose mitigation strategies to strengthen resilience and ensure alignment with project goals.Utilize control tower methodologies to improve supply chain visibility, responsiveness, and decision support.Leverage data visualization tools such as Power BI to analyze data, generate insights, and communicate findings effectively.Minimum Qualifications, Experience & Competencies:Education:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.Master’s degree preferred.Experience:Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in market intelligence, supply chain analysis, or project development within large-scale industrial or EPC environments.Skills & Competencies:Strong understanding of market analysis and supply chain management principles.Proficient in data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to convey complex insights clearly and concisely.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of project management tools and methods.Familiarity with regulatory and industry standards relevant to engineering and construction.Awareness of emerging technologies and trends within the EPC and industrial sectors.
