The opportunityAs a Senior Strategic Buyer – Category Management, you will play a key role within the Product Supply Chain department, leading strategic sourcing initiatives and contributing to business objectives through cost optimization, supplier relocation, and process improvement. You will drive measurable results in supply chain performance, ensuring alignment with the company’s long-term strategic goals.How you’ll make an impactLead Strategic Sourcing Initiatives: Drive sourcing strategies that align with business objectives and deliver measurable results in cost reduction and efficiency.Optimize Costs and Processes: Perform detailed cost analysis, support supply chain relocation projects, and lead internal process improvement and change management initiatives.Manage Categories and Suppliers: Take full ownership of assigned categories and suppliers, ensuring strategic and operational excellence.Ensure Operational Performance: Oversee procurement activities to guarantee on-time deliveries, appropriate stock levels, and high service standards.Collaborate and Report: Work closely with cross-functional teams and report directly to the Head of Product Supply Chain Management, providing insights and performance updates on strategic initiatives.You will be expected to achieve tangible results in cost analysis, supplier negotiations, and process optimization while driving continuous improvement across the supply chain.Your backgroundEducation: Degree in Engineering.Experience: >5 years of professional experience in similar roles within procurement or supply chain.Languages: Spanish and English – C1 level (fluent and suitable for negotiation).Occasional travel required.Tools and Systems:Advanced Excel (pivot tables, data analysis, etc.)Experience with ERP/MRP systems (NetSuite or similar preferred)Industry Background: Experience in multinational companies is highly valued.
