Job DescriptionSenior Structural Engineer: Responsible for performing structural analysis, design, and detailing for a variety of commercial, institutional, and industrial projects. Duties and responsibilities include: Collaborate with designers, drafters, modelers, and other in-house engineers to execute structural designs. Utilize materials including steel and concrete. Leverage structural analysis software such as AutoCAD, RISA, Enercalc and STAAD.

Demonstrate the appropriate use of approved codes and standards to define structural demands on buildings due to gravity and wind loadings. Perform structural analysis and design of structural members such as beams, columns, walls, joists, and foundations accurately and in accordance with applicable codes and standards. Develop accurate structural models that mathematically define and idealize the actual structure being designed. Assist with the editing of project specifications and technical narratives. Assist in site visits, site meetings and construction administration duties. QualificationsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: A bachelor’s degree (U. S.

or foreign degree equivalent) in civil or structural engineering, or a closely related field. Experience: Ten years of experience in a structural engineering occupationSKILLS/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Experience must include the following: Ten years of experience in the Engineering field specializing in structural design and analysis on civic/government, industrial, residential and commercial projects. Ten years of experience in designing various types of steel and concrete buildings, foundation, renovation and expansion of existing facilities. Ten years of experience designing, coordinating, and navigating through architectural building models and drawings for concrete and steel framed buildings using AutoCAD and Revit.

Experience may be gained concurrently. Basic pay is one hundred nine thousand eight hundred thirty dollars to one hundred twenty-nine thousand two hundred twelve dollars annually for full-time employment and standard company benefits.
