Senior Structural Engineer

We’re looking for an ambitious Senior Structural Engineer who’s ready to step confidently into a leadership role and help shape the future of our team.From day one, you’ll be trusted with a diverse portfolio of projects—from complex multi-storey and commercial developments to high-end architectural homes—all while driving technical excellence, innovation, and project delivery across the business.About the RoleAs a Lead Structural Engineer at Ricaya, you will:Lead structural design and delivery across residential and commercial projects of varying scale and complexity.Oversee project planning, coordination, and quality assurance to ensure every project is delivered on time and to a high standard.Collaborate closely with architects, builders, and consultants to deliver practical, buildable, and innovative solutions.Mentor and support junior engineers while guiding our drafting team to develop accurate, well-coordinated documentation.Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, codes, and industry best practices.Play a key role in business development—building relationships, contributing to proposals, and helping grow Ricaya’s project pipeline.Drive continuous improvement across our systems, workflows, and technical standards.What We’re Looking ForBachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering (or equivalent recognised in Australia).6+ years of structural engineering experience in Australia, with a strong foundation in residential and commercial projects.Strong technical expertise in concrete and steel systems, with exposure to seismic design considered a plus.Proficiency with industry software such as RAM Concept, ETABS, SpaceGass, etc.Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status, or actively working toward chartership.Demonstrated ability to manage projects, lead technical teams, and deliver high-quality engineering outcomes.Strong commercial awareness, risk management capability, and sound engineering judgement.A passion for mentoring and fostering a collaborative, high-performance team culture.Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.Bonus: Experience in business development or an existing network that can help grow our client base.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and analyse a wide range of building structures.Prepare and review drawings, documentation, models, and engineering reports.Work closely with our team to develop buildable, practical engineering solutions.Coordinate with architects, clients, and consultants throughout the design lifecycle.Attend site inspections and project meetings when required.Provide technical leadership, support, and guidance across the team.Why Join Ricaya?A genuine leadership opportunity in a company that values innovation, initiative, and professional growth.A diverse project portfolio—from luxury homes to large-scale commercial developments.A flat, collaborative structure where your ideas are heard and your impact is real.Work-life balance with flexible working options in a prime Gold Coast location.
