Senior Supplier Quality Engineer

Gateway Search is proud to partner with one of the leading R&D and manufacturers of consumer electronics to bring on board Senior Supplier Quality Engineer.Job ResponsibilitiesPlan, organize, and coordinate the quality activities for the assigned product manufacturing locations. Work collaboratively with cross-functional product development teams, manufacturing partners and key suppliers to determine product engagement including PFMEA, Quality Plan, WI, inspection requirement etc. Ensure that all new or revised components or products use the PPAP process to document the approval of introduction or revision with supplier sites. Conduct final Inspection as necessary.Trains the Process Auditor in manufacture site on job responsibilities. Reviews all new drawings and specifications with the staff to ensure mutual understanding of the requirements. Ensures that the Process Auditor is capable of training the Inspector.Reviews and monitors engineering change after mass production and make sure the change implemented effectively.Ensures ABR and Reliability Testing well conducted as the approved schedule and follow the issues found.Handles customer complaint and ensures that BPR’s are issued for all significant complaints and drive corrective and preventive actions.Conducts Tier-1 supplier and key tier-2 supplier assessment and verify processes are being followed and old issues have been resolved. Brings along the Process Auditor on the initial assessment for training purposes.Drives the continuous improvement with internal team and tier-1 and tier-2 suppliers.To be successful in this role, Degree in Engineering or equivalent with at least 5 years of experience in quality engineering including supplier quality, manufacturing quality and customer quality for electro-mechanical products.ISO and other quality system knowledge, good at FMEA, QP, PPAP, SPC, MSE and other quality tools, have strong problem-solving skills.Good knowledge with supplier quality assessment auditsGood written and verbal communicationsWilling to travel to existing and potential suppliersIf an opportunity interests you, please share your CV with us for a confidential discussion on this role.
