Job Description

A leading medical device manufacturer is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Specialist. The Supply Chain Specialist ensures that the supply of materials, production schedules, and inventory levels are managed in a timely and efficient manner. The work of the Supply Chain Specialist directly impacts the value stream of various product lines as well as the dynamic, complex supply and demand network. Responsibilities: Oversee multiple product lines from the point of origin to point of consumption• Invest in the growth and sustainability of the company by managing critical product lines from beginning to end through strategic development and execution of forecasting, procurement, inventory level management, and customer satisfaction• Serve as project manager for product development for the supply chain• Incorporate financial information into supply chain development and planning• Provide high-level recommendations on ongoing projects for each product line• Continuously improve and optimize the current processes and structure using various tools and technologies• Expand the use of the ERP System to develop MRP, Supply Chain Key Performance Indicators, and advanced reporting• Interact with senior personnel in developing operational processes that enhance customer experience• Develop complex reports in ERP System and train the team to use the report accordingly• Analyze the ERP System data to make strategic decisions on product line optimization• Analyze inventory usage, scrap, and waste, and recommend any appropriate actions to minimize loss, reduce inventory, and/or increase inventory turnover that would support inventory level objectives• Proactively resolve challenges that develop regarding shipments, shortages, logistics, engineering changes, and cancellation of orders• Analyze, evaluate, and confirm material availability to maintain appropriate levels of raw materials, finished goods inventory, and safety stock in accordance with the Company’s strategic plan• Procure work orders and purchase requests for overall operations, as needed• Source materials, manufacture partner and potential resources worldwide• Purchase components to support a master production schedule and inventory requirements• Coordinate material movements between internal work teams, storage areas, and external suppliers to ensure materials are available when needed• Ensure continuous inventory accuracy by participating in inventory cycle counts• Coordinate strategic cross-functional activities with Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Qualifications: Minimum of Masters of Arts/Science in Business Administration, Engineering or related field focusing on supply chain sustainability or equivalent level of experienceProficient in Materials Resource PlanningFive years’ experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, pharmaceutical industry preferredKnowledge and/or experience in an industry regulated by Quality System Regulations
