The role is embedded in the Gateway squad, which is a key part of the Payments Platform.  About the role: As a Site Reliability Engineer (Role) in Senior System Specialist position, you will Provide an advanced level of technical expertise and ownership across a complex environment supporting the ASB business. Analyse and optimise the environment for reliability and scalability while delivering cost effective performance. Demonstrate outstanding customer service skills and lead by example.What You Will DoEnsure high availability of systems for which you are responsible through your knowledge of the incident management, capacity management, change control, problem management and availability management processesAssist Problem and Incident ManagementUnderstand how changes will impact the environment and services being supportedRecommend, develop and implement Initiatives and improve technology and processesEnsure adherence with Audit, Security and compliance requirementsEnsure adherence with change management requirementsStay current with relevant Technologies.Implement, adhere to and contribute to the development of technical standardsEnsure the quality of technical solutionsProcess management and process ImprovementImprovement of overhead, efficiencies and cost reductionLead by example of well-rounded skills and commitment to all areas of responsibilityAdministration of DR/BCM & Backup plansKnowledge sharingWhat are we looking out for?With Regards To Background, The Following Capabilities Are Necessary5 years + (minimum) supporting enterprise environmentsAutomation mindset to automate highly repetitive tasksExpert in both Windows and Linux virtual machine administration (RHCE certified), Ansible.Monitoring and observability exposureHands on experience with Source control and CICD toolingExperienced in driving conversations, operate standups and familiar with Agile/Scrum ways of workingThese Capabilities Are Not Mandatory But Would Be FavourableSound knowledge of ITIL frameworkInformation Security knowledge, high security awarenessHaving RHCE certifications would be beneficial.Exposure or experience to messaging technology, for example AMH, Service Bus, Auto Rabbit etcWorking at ASB: ASB's sense of who we are and what we stand for is grounded in our values.
