Role SummaryWe are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join our growing team in Colpetty, Colombo.Reporting directly to the Founder and Director (based in London), you will manage UK client tax portfolios, deliver accurate compliance and advisory services, and support junior staff development.This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, fully qualified accounting professional to work with UK-based clients and gain international exposure in a dynamic, digital-first firm. Key ResponsibilitiesTax Compliance & AdvisoryPrepare and review UK corporation tax returns using TaxCalc.Provide practical advice on tax compliance, planning, and structuring for UK-based clients.Ensure all filings meet HMRC requirements and deadlines.Liaise with UK clients to address tax queries and provide clear, practical guidance.Maintain documentation to support tax computations and HMRC submissions.Responsible for compliance aspects including AML / GDPR complianceClient & Team CollaborationWork closely with UK-based colleagues to ensure seamless client service delivery.Communicate effectively with startup founders, finance teams, and external partners.Review and mentor the work of junior accountants within the Sri Lanka office.Contribute to internal process improvements and enhance efficiency through technology. Qualifications & ExperienceEducation: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Professional Qualification: Fully qualified ACCA or CA (UK tax experience preferred).Experience:Minimum 4–6 years’ experience in tax accounting, ideally within a UK-focused practice.Strong working knowledge of UK corporation tax, VAT, and personal tax compliance.Technical Skills:Proficient in TaxCalc for UK tax compliance.Strong working knowledge of Xero and QuickBooks for accounting.Advanced user of excel.Familiarity with FRS 102 and UK GAAP.
