We offer a generous benefits package and compensation commensurate with your experience and skill set.Technical Description:The successful candidate will develop, document, and maintain system or business workflows to support the operational requirements of the Department of the Interior Human Resources Directorate (HRD), Human Resources Systems Management Division (HRMSD). The ideal candidate will have excellent writing and editing skills and experience providing guidance for complex technical volume creation. The successful candidate will work closely with the rest of the Project Team and Government SMEs to translate complex, technical information into well-written manuals for technical and non-technical users.Duties and Responsibilities:The successful candidate will perform all functional duties including:Develop, update, or maintain documented workflows for a system or business processScan and store information in a digital form to a central repositoryDevelop comprehensive manuals for application users, ensuring instructions are actionable and straightforwardProduce in-depth technical documentation for developers, IT teams, or advanced users (e.g., API guides, data models)Prepare clear and concise release notes that highlight application updates, bug fixes, and new featuresDevelop onboarding and training resources, such as tutorials, quick startCheck documents for spelling, grammar and content problemsDevelop templates and guides for use by the Project Team. Suggest revisions to templates as appropriate. Provide excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to work with SMEs (users or technical staff) to gather information, create, edit, and write complex documents clearlyEducation Requirements:Bachelor's degree.Professional Certifications Required:None requiredClearance Requirements:Currently posses or able to obtain a Public Trust position based on a favorable National Agency Check Investigation (NAC-I)Years’ Experience Required:7+ years of directly applicable experience performing technical writingCitizenship Requirements:Must be a US citizenSkills and Abilities:Must be a self-starter with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities; strong communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder interaction; ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment; ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment; and strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to present clearly.Working conditions:Fully RemoteClient duty hours (Monday through Friday).Salary:$85-$110kPowered by JazzHRImMO4tBeDE
