Shape what’s next for mission-critical government projects while shaping what’s next for your engineering career.MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACTAs a Telecommunications Engineer Senior for our LAN Support program, you will be working on-site. You will be responsible for the tasks assigned to you by work orders, incidents, change requests, or other work requests to complete assigned tasks. The implementation of the standardization of NIPR and SIPR networks.The Position is onsite with minimal possible travel.Managing the evaluation and cost estimation of voice and data WAN services from telecommunications carriers, designing access and backbone networks using carrier services, or in managing the analysis and design of wireless voice or data networks (using private radio facilities or commercial services).Provides technical and administrative direction for personnel responsible for telecommunications network design, implementation, and operations tasks, including the review of work products for correctness, adherence to the design concept and to user standards and progress in accordance with schedules. Makes recommendations, if needed, for approval of major network installations. Prepares milestone status reports, and deliveries/ presentations on network progress to colleagues, subordinates, and end user representatives.What You’ll Need To SucceedClearance: SecretSensitivity Level: IT-I – Critical SensitiveDoD 8570 IAT II Compliant Certification: (CompTIA Sec+, CASP, CISSP, etc).Computing Environment: Cisco computing environment certificates such as CCNA, CCNP and CCIE. Equivalent certifications from other vendors are also acceptable.Must have 5 years’ network operations experience. Higher Level Education or Military service can be used in lieu of 2 years’ network operations experience.Contractor is required to take applicable DLA and Host Activity site-specific safety training. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
