To represent the interests of their company internally and externallyTo implement and maintain excellent standards of customer service Responsibilities:Coordinate and analyze results of due diligence searches, audits, and background reportsWhere appropriate and in support of the new business staff and/or senior management meet and/or interview the prospective client’s management team onsiteCollate and review prospective client’s historical and projected financial statements, cash flows, availability of collateral value ensuring accurately reflected in Sanction RequestIdentify critical transactional/structural risks and communicate issues to senior managementCompletion of the Sanction Request in compliance with the Risk Framework in collaboration with the Sales Team memberFacilitate the effective hand over of new client to Operations staff servicing the facilityCoordinate internally and externally; including with third-parties such as existing lenders, partner lenders, appraisers, outside counsel and industry consultants bringing in senior management at the appropriate timeSupport networking activities as neededUndertake project work as required by the local and / or group companiesCoordinate the initial funding of transactions including the closing/reconciliation of good faith deposits and the preparation of funding documentation and memo’sTo ensure that best practice is both shared and implemented within their operating companyCompetenciesProven ability to review collateral, financial performance and projectionsHigh attention to detail Organizational skills essentialStrong skills regarding transaction structuring. High level of familiarity with documentation specific to Factoring facilitiesAbility to build internal and external relationships. Work in a fast-moving team environmentMust be able to manage several projects in varying stages at the same time. Must be able to take ownership / responsibility of work productAbility to present with professionalism and confidence to external committees, stakeholders, and investorsConsistent and timely follow up essential to Team/Sales/Mgmt; etcStrong oral and written communication skillsQualificationsUndergraduate degree in finance or other business-related field preferred or undergraduate degree supplemented with relevant work experience. Minimum 5 years of experience as an Underwriter.
