Job Description
This position supports the execution of sensory evaluation activities to help ensure product quality, consistency, and alignment with consumer expectations. The role will coordinate sensory testing sessions and assist in building a sensory panellist database to support product innovation, improvement and cost optimization. The role requires strong collaboration with BU NPI, Marketing, Training Master Barista, CMI and relevant functions to conduct sensory evaluation session as well as implement sensory protocols in line with menu strategy, operational feasibility, and customer satisfaction. I/RESPONSIBILITIES:Sensory Evaluation CoordinationPrepare and set up sensory evaluation sessionsDevelop and prepare comprehensive sensory evaluation forms, sample coding, and tasting toolsBuild sensory methodologies for trained and untrained panellists.Support facilitation of sensory evaluation sessions to ensure accurate data collection.Consolidate & analyse sensory evaluation results and report.Maintain sensory evaluation equipment and testing facilities.Sensory Training & Screening PanellistAssist in training internal panellists on sensory protocolsCoordinate training schedules, evaluation schedules across BUs and well-prepare material for each sessionSupport screening and qualification of panellists for consistency and reliabilityMaintain sensory database and panellist performance recordsDocumented sensory data & master file managementCollaborate with HR on building Sensory in Science ProgramInventory & Sample CoordinationManage lab consumables and samples inventory for sensory labsCoordinate to get sample for sensory training & sensory evaluationManage master file to control materials stock for storage and available tools for testingOthers: Other tasks assigned by Line Manager's RequirementII/REQUIREMENTS:EducationBachelor’s degree in Food Science or related. Master's degree or/and Sensory certified is an advantage.Experience5+ years of experience in Sensory or Consumer Technical Insight (CTI) of the food & beverage industry.Work related skillsMarket trend monitoring, insights interpretationStrong data analysis and statistic skillSensory evaluation methodology and panel managementSoft skillsExceptional attention to detail and strong organizational capabilitiesProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Self-driven with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced team environmentEffective communication and time management skills
