This interdenominational Christian ministry provides emergency relief assistance, clean water, medicines, educational materials, homes, support for orphans and the aged, skills training and micro-enterprise development assistance."Join us in our mission to serve the poorest of the poor".Overall Responsibility:As a Service Advisor in our call center you will be the first to assist in the process of Donor retention by calling Donors for special appeals, to encourage their participation in special fund-raising events and by maintaining and enhancing knowledge of Food For The Poor’s programs, campaigns, projects, and countries of operation. You will use interpersonal skills and language fluency for calling to thank Donors and address their prayer requests. This is a full-time permanent position in the Donor Relations Department reporting to headquarters in Coconut Creek, Florida. This role will be performed ON SITE, candidates must reside in San Pedro Sula, Cortés Honduras.Duties:Making follow-up calls to thank Donors and to discuss contents of special appeals and request their support.Inquiring as to Donor prayer needs and praying with Donors during the calls.Responding to prayer requests sent in by Donors.Responding to questions and/or inquiries from donors.Sending information to Manager for forwarding to appropriate department.Sending information for donor requested materials to Department Manager.Making appropriate notations in Donor Direct/Synthesis following calls to donors.Sending special cards e.g., Banana Bark cards, Healing cards to donors as required.Calling Donors to confirm receipt of invitations to special events and to facilitate their attendance.Reviewing calling instructions.Covering all points in current campaign, project and program script.Staying current on Food for the Poor’s programs and services to convey information to Donors.Performing other job-related duties as assigned by the Donor Relations Manager.Education and Experience:Minimum high school diploma or GED/on-going bachelor degreeBilingual (English/Spanish fluency)Minimum of 2 years of related experience in sales/marketing/customer serviceExperience in customer support and managing outbound calls.Desired Skills:Fundraising skillsAbility to pray with donors.Good written and oral communication skills.Excellent telephone communication and listening skills.Proper telephone etiquette.Ability to handle objections.Persuasion skills.Computer literacy in Microsoft applications. Practices good time management
