Support expansion of access to SMs and others as required. Develop and implement processes for systematically utilising the insights across regions and nationally, alongside other sources of knowledge and insight, to support resource planning and decision making. Work collaboratively with RCs, NCs, and relevant enabling functions (Fin, HR, practice) to develop plans/actions to address identified capacity pressures/constraints, including actions to strengthen practice and workflow where needed. Liaise with key enabling functions to drive a priority focus on the actions needed to strengthen workforce capacity and address any identified pressure points. Work collaboratively with the Senior Product Developer to maintain and enhance the tool.Mō te tūnga | About the roleOranga Tamariki is responding to increasing volumes of reports of concern, and it is more important than ever that our workforce and resources are deployed strategically and efficiency, enabling us to respond to children and families in the greatest need as quickly and effectively as possible.In this newly established role, the successful applicant will be responsible for developing and overseeing a nationally coordinated system of workforce planning and management within Tamariki and Whānau Services.Reporting to the Chief Advisor Tamariki and Whānau Services, the role will draw on regional expertise, data and insights, including from a newly developed Strategic Workforce Analysis tool, to help ensure Oranga Tamariki has the right mix of social workers, allied support workers and other roles, in the right locations, to enable us to provide quality social work services for tamariki and whānau. The work will encompass both an immediate and future focus, involving monitoring current capacity, forecasting workforce needs, and identifying opportunities to strengthen service delivery.The role will bring influence and leadership skills, liaising with key enabling functions to drive a priority focus on actions needed to strengthen workforce capacity and address identified pressure points, for example though operational budget considerations, staffing or the geographic distribution of roles. The role will also work collaboratively with the Senior Product Developer to maintain and enhance the Strategic Workforce Analysis tool.In addition, the Service Delivery Operations Lead supports the Chief Advisor and the Tamariki and Whānau Services leadership team in delivering on the strategic priorities of the Deputy Chief Executive. This may include leading or contributing to specific agreed projects and deliverables beyond workforce management that support the wider Tamariki and Whānau Services Group.Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bringSome key requirements of the role include:Expert ability to critically analyse, interpret and clearly present complex information and draw out well-reasoned insights to inform decisions.Competency in working with data and analytics, and ability to draw on insights support workforce planning and service delivery.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to convey complex information clearly and tailor messages to different audiences.Excellent interpersonal skills, adaptable to suit different audiences, able to influence others, and dedicated to effective teamwork.Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices. Annual remuneration for this position starts between $125,926 and $139,459 dependant on experience.
