Service Engineer – Electrical and Controls

Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – with frequent travel across the Kingdom and MENA region (approximately 180 days/year)Are you a skilled electrical engineer with a passion for troubleshooting and problem-solving? Meyn is seeking a Service Engineer – Electrical and Controls to join our team in Saudi Arabia.In this role, you will be responsible for the start-up and commissioning of new installations, performing overhauls on equipment and production lines, and ensuring a smooth restart after maintenance activities. You will also diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns, while providing basic training to local operators and maintenance personnel.This is an exciting and dynamic role where no two days are the same. You will work on cutting-edge industrial machinery in a fast-paced production environment, ensuring that our customers’ operations run efficiently. The challenge lies in solving complex technical issues on-site, often under time pressure, while collaborating with international teams. If you thrive on variety, enjoy hands-on work, and want to make a real impact in the food processing industry, we would love to hear from you!Key responsibilities:Demonstrate strong teamwork by collaborating with fellow Field Engineers, local operators, and maintenance staff from our customers.Execute electrical maintenance and installation activities, including start-up and commissioning, at customer sites.Always adhere to the safety and hygiene policies of Meyn and its customers.Work closely with the designated Site Coordinator and Service Commissioning Engineers.Ensure proper and safe use, handling, and maintenance of all provided tools and equipment.Perform all required electrical tasks under approved and safe conditions.Accurately report working hours and expenses in accordance with Meyn’s policies.Show eagerness to learn and continuously develop technical skills, staying up to date with the latest industry advancements.Educational RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Automation.Valid Saudi driving license.Valid passport with no travel restrictions related to nationality or documentation.ExperienceOpen to fresh graduates up to 2 years of relevant experience.Preference will be given to candidates with experience in poultry meat or food processing plants. Required SkillsAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics and control panel layouts.Basic knowledge of PLC systems, motors, sensors, and safety systems.Good command of English (spoken and written).Hands-on approach, eager to learn, flexible, and willing to travel frequently.Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service orientation.Demonstrates responsibility and effective communication skills.Who are we?At Meyn Food Processing Technology, we have been at the forefront of poultry processing solutions for over 65 years.
