Look no further, MacGregor is looking to hire a Service Engineer with Mechanical and Electrical and/or Hydraulic competence.This is an opportunity for a hands-on expert, who will be responsible for performing repairs on critical marine equipment, including MacGregor and third-party products. Your focus on quality and safety will be essential to keeping our customers' vessels moving and hitting our service goals.As a Service Engineer, you will manage projects and execute a wide range of service activities, including refurbishment, upgrades, inspections, preventative maintenance, and corrective actions on MacGregor and related equipment. In addition, you will establish and maintain relationships with both internal and external customers.This position requires travel to client sites, vessels, or shipyards worldwide. As our clients are spread across the globe, flexibility and the ability to work overtime and on weekends are part of the job.More Tasks And ResponsibilitiesDiagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulics and electrical systemsSupervise and perform the refurbishment, upgrades, inspections, preventative maintenance and corrective actionsRepairing and maintaining MacGregor’s equipmentIdentify service and spares sales opportunities and communicate them to the line manager to support all activitiesComplete documentation of the work performedPreparing detailed service reports and documentation for all work performedCoach/tutor junior colleagues as necessaryThis role is part of our Global Services Division. Reporting directly to the Operations Superintendent. This position is based in Gothenburg, Sweden, but requires worldwide travel.What You’ll Need To SucceedWe are looking for a person with mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical and field service experience. As a person you are cooperative, customer oriented and have technical skills.Ideally you haveBackground as a marine service engineer, mechatronics engineer, industrial electronics engineer, electrical technician, or similarProfessional experience in a related role, ideally in the maritime or shipping industryExperience with mechanical systemsExperience with electrical and hydraulic systems is an advantageSkilled in writing reports and technical documentation using digital toolsValid driver's licenseFluent in English, additional language skills are an advantageWhy MacGregor?Our people are behind every success.
