Job Purpose The Service Engineer plays a pivotal role in managing all on-site activities at customer locations, primarily focusing on international projects while also addressing short-term service needs within the Benelux region. This position is directly accountable to the Service Manager at our clients office in Alphen aan den Rijn, The Netherlands. As an on-site representative, you will collaborate closely with various departments as well as engage directly with customers and end users to deliver service and enhance their overall experience.If you are seeking a technical position within a dynamic international organization, possess strong hands-on mechanical skills, enjoy problem-solving, and are fluent in English, we invite you to join our clients Site Service team.Duties and Responsibilities As a Service Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:Executing on-site service jobs with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction, including:Performing measurements for standard and advanced valves and gearboxes.Installing and commissioning interlocks and valve position indicators (VPIs).Troubleshooting interlocks, VPIs, and resolving sequencing and pigging issues.Managing international and offshore projects, guiding teams of local service engineers.Conducting surveys, functional checks, and internal inspections.Utilizing detailed order sheets, P&IDs, and technical drawings during service execution.Ensuring accurate reporting both during and after each job, for internal and external stakeholders.Proactively promoting service products during site visits and providing potential leads to the Sales team.Supervising small teams on-site for standard measurements or lock installations.Assisting with all assembly activities within the workshop.Prioritizing safety and health standards in all work activities.Qualifications and Specifications To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and specifications:Completion of MBO or equivalent practical technical education, ideally in mechanical engineering or related fields; relevant experience will also be considered.Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software.Flexible, resilient under pressure, and a collaborative team player.Willingness to travel internationally, sometimes at short notice or for extended periods.Strong organizational and communication skills, both internally and externally.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities in Dutch and English; basic German language skills are advantageous.Capability to work effectively with limited supervision.Possession of a valid Driver's License (Category B) and VCA VOL certification.Acceptance of service assignments that may require work in isolated environments with minimal amenities.Strong physical fitness and good health, as the service work can be physically demanding.Understanding that service roles may involve longer working hours, including weekends and overnight stays.If applicable, successful acquisition of an offshore fitness certificate from Nogepa, confirming physical capability to perform required tasks.Our Offer to You We offer a competitive remuneration package and various benefits for our Service Engineers:Competitive salary with an incentive plan for on-site upselling and participation in an employee bonus plan.Full-time position of 40 hours per week.25 vacation days based on full-time employment (40 hours/week).Holiday allowance of 8% on the gross annual salary.Life insurance benefits, offering compensation as a multiple of salary.A collaborative work environment with ongoing development opportunities.
