You will handle support requests, perform troubleshooting, and ensure issues are solved efficiently and professionally — keeping customer operations running smoothly.You will report to the Service Manager and work closely with automation, process, mechanical, and aftersales teams.Your responsibilities include:Act as the first point of contact for customer service requests and inquiries.Provide remote troubleshooting and support using PLC connectionsDiagnose and resolve automation, electrical, and sensor-related issues.Guide customers through corrective actions and maintenance procedures.Conduct on-site service visits (troubleshooting, maintenance, commissioning) when needed.Follow up with customers to ensure problems are resolved and machines operate reliably.Record all service activities and interactions in the Service system.Support spare parts identification and service quotations requests.Share know-how and feedback with engineering and product teams for continuous improvement.What We Are Looking ForWe are seeking a technically skilled and customer-oriented engineer who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and interacting with global customers. You should have a strong understanding of automation systems and a proactive mindset to take ownership of service cases.We are looking for a person with:Preferrably Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automation Engineering or related fieldSeveral years of experience in industrial service, maintenance, or automation supportStrong automation knowledge and proven experience in troubleshooting automation and control systems (e.g. PLCs, HMIs, drives, motors)Experience with Siemens TIA Portal and Siemens WinCCFamiliarity with other automation systems is considered advantage, such as Allen Bradley Compact/ControlLogix, Aveva Wonderware Intouch, Allen Bradley Studio 5000, Allen Bradley FactoryTalk View and older Allen Bradley and Siemens systemsExperience with remote PLC connections and diagnosing automation-related issuesAbility to read and interpret electrical diagrams and P&I schematicsStrong problem-solving and communication skillsFluent English; Finnish is an advantageWillingness to travel internationally 25-50% of the timeWhat We OfferOpportunity to solve technical problems and help customers globallyAutonomy and flexibility to plan your own workOpportunity to work with cutting-edge, high-tech products involving mechanics, physics, and chemistrySupportive onboarding and mentoring from experienced colleaguesContinuous learning and development opportunitiesInternational exposure and opportunity to travel internationallyHybrid work model – up to two remote days per weekWhy Join Rosendahl Nextrom?Our culture is what makes us special at Rosendahl Nextrom.
