This course will locate children's literature within the history of social attitudes to children and in terms of such topics as authorial creativity, race, class, gender, and nationhood.Pre-1900 course.Course Enrollment (est.): 120Number of Positions (est.): 1Qualifications: Ph.D. in English or related field; strong academic record and professional promise; ongoing research and publication; experience teaching, especially previous experience in the teaching of children’s literature at the university level.
