Operates advanced warehouse vehicles (i.e., turret truck and/or order picker). Visually inspects boxes and product for damage or improper packaging. Updates reports via data entry for departmental use. Verifies products using item numbers, descriptions, and quantity. Creates bar code labels using MSC item numbers. Sorts and matches departmental reports. Stages product for putaway bins, overstock or racks. Picks items from bins and racks. Assembles set components. Identifies items using visual inspections, reference manuals or measuring instruments. Performs research to resolve item or purchase order discrepancies. Counts items. Processes, files, retrieves, and distributes departmental reports. Contacts MSC departments to resolve discrepancies. Utilizes telephone to process information with internal/external contacts. Enters data. In order to meet customer service requirements, associates can be temporarily re-assigned to other warehouse functions. Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC's vision and unity of purpose. SkillsMust obtain MSC license to drive warehouse vehicles within specified time requirements. ‰ Basic computer literacy required. Hearing, seeing (including depth perception and peripheral vision), ability of mental coordination. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment as required for position. Must be able to operate at heights up to 50 feet. Mentally alert for entire shift.Other RequirementsNone Compensation starting at $17.25/ hour dependent on candidate location and experience.The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity.
