Live Nation seeks to innovate and enhance the live entertainment experience for artists and fans: before, during and after the show.THE JOB As a member of the Finance Team, you will be interacting with all our clients, and all departments within the business to ensure that all our settlements are reconciled and paid in a timely fashion. You will understand that no 2 clients are the same and that different approaches are needed to resolve the many issues that will arise.We are not looking for just ‘a numbers person’, but someone who can work on their own to resolve issues as they arise. The role will be varied and involve working with a range of internal and external data sets, as well as building relationships with stakeholders internally and externally. The individual will be working with a variety of systems and be able to use any and all means to get to the right numbers.The ideal candidate is reliable, efficient, understands the workings in a Finance Dept, and thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment. Knowledge or passion of the music/entertainment industry is a must.What You Will Be DoingClient SettlementsGain an in depth understanding and knowledge of Client dealsWeekly preparation and review of client settlement statements to strict deadlinesReconciling differences between settlement system and finance systemMaintain required documentation in support of client settlement statementsProcess promoter payments and advancesLiaising with clients and maintaining strong relationships by resolving queries promptlyWeekly processing of adjustments against settled eventsMonitor client creditor reports and follow up older items for closureReconciling and processing daily sales data from the primary ticketing system to our accounting systemOther ad-hoc duties in support of client settlement teamManagement Accounts And OtherPreparation of monthly account postings to assist client accountantAssisting in the preparation of monthly journals and reports as requested within prescribed deadlinesMonthly reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts as requestedAssist with the internal and external statutory audit processOther ad-hoc projects and duties as requiredWHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)Previous experience working in a finance departmentExperience of working in a multi-division and international company preferredStrong working knowledge of MS Office Suite, with a particular emphasis on ExcelGreat teammate with strong communication and social skillsStrong problem-solving skills including the ability to identify and prevent potential problems, as well as challenge and improve existing processesStrong attention to detail and knowledge of accounting basicsHighly motivated and dynamic – ability to work to deadlines and achieve targets in a time-conscious mannerProfessional appearance and attitudeYou (behavioural Skills)Proactive attitudeSelf-Starter, capable of working both on their own initiative and as part of teamAbility to remain positive and calm under pressure.Works well in a team environment and always willing to help othersAn ongoing interest in solving and improving financial issuesHands-on with integrity and a desire to work in a dynamic environmentPossesses excellent organisation and time management skills and can manage multiple assignments concurrentlyLIFE AT TICKETMASTERWe are proud to be a part of Live Nation Entertainment, the world’s largest live entertainment company.Our vision at Ticketmaster is to connect people around the world to the live events they love.
